This work was inspired by Sydney seaside rockpools and bush landscapes. The miniature sea and mountain landscape is contained within a jewel-like gold seedpod, switching the macro-scale of a landscape with the micro-scale of a Banksia seedpod so that the landscape is shrunk into an enlarged pod. Pooling glazes were used to emulate the glistening waters of the sea.
